Today I spotted in my Kansas City Startup Group on Facebook about an amazing opportunity to learn the in and outs of a new startup. Zaarly is looking for 3-4 superstars to go to work right now on a 2-month contract.
You may have heard of this hot new startup that originated around a month ago during Startup Weekend LA, and has taken off like wildfire. They’ve been in Austin at SXSW testing out their application and the buzz around this company is nuts. The ever present Ashton and Demi are investors, Lightbank (the firm that invested in Groupon) joined the foray, and they have raised over $1 million in funding.
If you haven’t heard of Zaarly, here is the summarly via Crunchbase:
Zaarly is a proximity based, real-time buyer powered market. Buyers make an offer for an immediate need and sellers cash in on an infinite marketplace for items and services they never knew were for sale.
The founders are from Seattle and Kansas City and I love to hear about Kansas City companies making things happen in a place normally reserved for Silicon Valley regulars. Congrats to founder and KC resident Bo Fishback for the quick success of his startup. I look forward to seeing it all progress.
Here is a bit more about the jobs via My High Tech Startup:
- Located in Seattle, WA or Kansas City, MO metro areas (where our marketing leads are located currently)
- Experience with web and online tools
- Ability to work full-time, to begin immediately (or as soon as possible)
- Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
- Experience with social media, blogging, SEO, SEM
- College degree a plus, but not required
You’ll receive a monthly stipend plus the opportunity for a bonus based on attaining key metrics. This is a contract position, but there is the opportunity for a full-time role following the contract based on exceptional performance during this period.
If interested, please send a resume and statement of interest or cover letter to Adam@zaarly.com. We anticipate beginning as soon as possible.
Go get em! I imagine they’ll face the same problem that craigslist had with the sales of drugs and sex, so they’ll need to integrate some kind of text based filtering or monitoring system (Zaarly, if you’re reading this check out CiiAll – not mine but one of my partners – they already have the tech)! But before you get that in place, I’m going to go ahead and order up her.
