This is going to be a short post, simply because everyone else has blogged about it. Personally it isn’t the big deal everyone says it is. Everyone is all up in arms about the PR drop from the “industry leaders”. Whatever. In my opinion it’s a play by Google to push credibility to the FUD of the paid link BS. Let’s put the hammer down on some big sites so everyone will notice an get nervous! Well Matt, I’m not buying it. In fact, I think I’ll go out and double my link buys this month. Errr, wait a second. I buy links for the traffic so I guess it doesn’t apply to me.

Yes Brother B - I simply couldn’t bring myself to write about the whole ToolBar PageRank fiasco (dats right you fricken morons, TOOLBAR not actual internal PR) - there has been scant evidence that any of this has effected traffic/search rankings. So, has their PR been affected or simply the TBPR? This is the REAL question IMO.
Anyway, I was ranting about how useless TBPR was as a metric more than a year ago… he he…. I have grown tired and it’s this weeks ‘Paid Links’ or ‘BlogRush’ or ‘Sphinn post’ - we are a bunch of bloody sheep some times in this game…. grrrrrrr
I shall make a quick entry in the ‘Thursday Beer Break’ but not likely much more… though I do want to rant about how much people seem to care!!!! …maybe…..

Hi,
I don’t even have a Toolbar installed
There could be other reasons for a drop of the PageRank values displayed in the toolbar. But claiming that it’s all because of some Paid Links might be much more entertaining and emotional - a drama!
@Dave, I just wanted to put some porn on my site and Google gave me a reason.
This is all way over-hyped and will hopefully subside soon, but the general topic will likely never go away until the google borg just doesn’t count links anymore.
@Alphane Moon - No toolbar here either. I don’t want
the CIAGoogle tracking my every move. I use another account on another browser to deal with checking page rank, which I hardly ever do anyway. As Dave said…it’s a useless piece of info.Best post title ever.
Thanks Robert. I’m getting better at the linkbait post titles. When I first started this blog it would have been something boring like “PR Update”…
